The 13.3-inch monitor has a 4:3 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3,200 x 2,400 pixels at a pixel density of 300 PPI. When displaying colors, however, the resolution drops to 1,600 x 1,200 pixels at 150 PPI. While E Ink cannot display animations quite as smoothly as a conventional LCD even at a higher refresh rate, the reflective panel promises perfect readability in sunlight.
The 5.6-millimeter-thick, 660-gram screen is compatible not only with Windows and macOS, but also with Android and iOS. The screen can either be propped up using a case or attached to a laptop display, making it easier to create dual- or triple-monitor setups on the go.
