Colombo, October 24 (Daily Mirror)- One Sri Lanka Army soldier was killed and 11 others were injured after a military Defender vehicle crashed into a palmyrah tree along the Mannar-Talaimannar main road today.
The accident occurred in the Kiliyankudiyiruppu area when the vehicle, travelling from Talaimannar towards Mannar, reportedly lost control and collided with a roadside tree.
The injured were initially rushed to Pesalai Hospital for medical treatment and later transferred to Mannar District General Hospital for further treatment.
