Hyderabad police detain 15 VHP activists over attempt to block Kunal Kamra’s show over ‘anti-Hindu’ remark

Fifteen VHP activists were taken into preventive custody when they attempted to hold a protest to stop stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra's show here on Sunday, police said.

Calling Kamra "anti-Hindu", the protesters raised slogans against him at RTC Kalyana Mandapam here, the venue of the event.

The show was held peacefully without any disruption, they said.

"15 people were taken into preventive custody, when they came there to hold a protest," an official said.
