Another busy NFL Sunday kicked off bright and early for Week 6, with the Jacksonville Jaguars playing in their second consecutive game in London. The Jags failed to come away with a win, falling to the division rival Houston Texans on a last-second field goal, but there was one major bright spot.
Former No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter had a breakout performance on both sides of the ball, hauling in his first touchdown catch of the year before coming up with an interception late in the game. It was nearly enough to spark a Jacksonville comeback.
After the game, Hunter’s wife, Leanna Lenee, was gloating about Hunter’s performance and took some time to call out some of his past critics who were outspoken with their thoughts that Hunter couldn’t be a two-way star as a pro.
Specifically, Lenee aimed at Shannon Sharpe, who immediately clapped back on Nightcapwith Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson on Sunday night.

Shannon Sharpe Responds To Public Callout From Leanna Lenee
“Leanna, we appreciate you watching the show. We’ve never said anything bad about your husband, nor will we ever. Look, we talk about what we see. You’re talking about a couple of old ex-athletes that played their particular sports at very, very high levels. We know what good football is. We know what bad football is, and we don’t have a problem calling good and bad football out. That’s what we do.

“All we said is that, hey, your husband is outstanding. He has All-Pro and Pro Bowl potential at the cornerback position. And if you use him situationally, he can be electric on the offensive side of the football. And today he showed it. She’s going to check you by her man. I ain’t got no problem with that. She’s supposed to stand. She’s supposed to be 10 toes down for it. Because I stand 10 toes down with my statement. Whatever I say, I stand on it.”
It doesn’t matter what side you take in this little debate; all that matters is Hunter showed he is capable of contributing on both sides of the ball at the highest level.
His effort wasn’t enough for the team to get the win, but he made a statement with his performance. Hopefully, the Jaguars will find a way to continue using Hunter in ways that will help the team bring home the wins.
