KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Que Haidar has fiercely defended his close friendship with fellow artiste Nur Fazura, making it clear their bond is built purely on mutual chemistry, not her celebrity status or stunning looks.
The 47-year-old, whose real name is Tengku Iskhan Shah Tengku Haidar, has expressed his frustration after a social media user tried to warn him against playing with the actress's feelings or pushing her aside.
The tense exchange began when a commenter left a note on Threads urging Que to act maturely in his relationship with her.
"Don't go ghosting or ignoring her if you need space. Be a man, she is Fazura," the user wrote.
Refusing to stay silent, Que swiftly fired back, telling the critic to understand his true intentions.
"I am not like you. I am friends with her because of our chemistry. Not because she is pretty or because she is Fazura. Mind it!" Que retorted.
The two stars' close friendship has recently drawn online attention, with fans delighting in their playful banter and frequent joint live streams.
The duo previously starred together in the popular local films Gol & Gincu (2005) and Lagenda Budak Setan (2010).
Their friendship was rekindled this year after they were reunited as brand ambassadors for a leading clothing label.
Fazura married actor Fattah Amin in November 2017, before their divorce was finalised in October 2024.
They have a six-year-old daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya.
Que was married to well-known dance instructor Linda Jasmine in February 2009, before they separated in July 2024.
They have two daughters, Tengku Ratu Haidar, 16, and Tengku Cleopatra Haidar, 13.
