Promoting fire prevention measures and disaster preparedness at the grassroots level, a special awareness programme on fire safety and disaster management was organised at Kalyanpur village under Madhya Paschim Dwarikapur Gram Panchayat. The initiative was undertaken by the Teliamura Sub-Divisional Magistrate's office with the aim of enhancing public awareness about emergency response and safety practices.
The programme brought together local residents and community representatives to educate them on preventive measures against fire-related incidents and the importance of preparedness during emergencies. Among those present were the Pradhan of the concerned Gram Panchayat, Abhijit Acharjee, Scout Master of the Kalyanpur Scouts and Guides Unit and a Master Trainer in Disaster Management, and Uttam Das, Officer-in-Charge of Kalyanpur Fire and Emergency Services.
