Former Managing Director of Daily Times, Ambassador Dele Cole, has died at the age of 86.
Cole reportedly died on Saturday morning, according to a family source who spoke to Vanguard.
Beyond his career in journalism, the late Cole also served Nigeria in the diplomatic sphere, representing the country as ambassador to Argentina and Brazil.

He was also involved in politics, having emerged as a presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the early 1990s.
Cole’s career spanned journalism, public service and diplomacy, placing him among Nigerians who held prominent roles across the media and government.
