Loyalists of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other Nigerians have begun arriving at the Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna State ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s arrival for the party’s 2027 presidential campaign flag-off on Saturday.
Major roads leading to the stadium were barricaded as early as the morning, while large groups of APC supporters started making their way to the venue from about 7am.
Many of the supporters were dressed in T-shirts, caps and hijabs bearing images of Tinubu, APC insignia and photographs of their respective state governors, particularly those of Kano and Kaduna states.
The rally marks the formal commencement of the APC’s campaign for the 2027 presidential election, with party leaders, governors and thousands of supporters expected to converge on Kaduna to demonstrate their support for Tinubu’s bid for a second term.
The event is also expected to draw prominent APC leaders and supporters from across the country as the ruling party begins its nationwide mobilisation ahead of the election.
