Motorists have been urged to adhere to the revised speed limit, pay attention to posted traffic signs and follow instructions issued by the relevant authorities when travelling along the road to help protect all road users and ensure safer journeys.
Last month, Abu Dhabi Mobility announced a similar speed limit reduction on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Street (E311), with the maximum permitted speed in both directions lowered from 120km/h to 100km/h from September 14.
The affected stretch covers traffic travelling towards both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, between the At Turoush Street and Tawi Al Qaymah Street junctions at one end and the Al Khayr Street interchange at the other.
The speed limit reduction aims to enhance road safety and encourage motorists to adhere to the new limits.
