(ANSA) - ROMA, 13 OTT - Works by Italian artist Cesare Pietroiusti are among those on display in the exhibition “The Brain Atlas: Polish Institute for Brain Research in Vilnius,” open to the public through December 13 at the Vilnius City Museum. The exhibition traces the now-nearly-forgotten history of the Polish Institute for Brain Research, which was active in the city in the early 20th century. Historical documents, archival photographs, atlases, and microscopic images interact with contemporary artworks, drawing connections between scientific research and artistic expression.
Among the contributions are works by Pietroiusti, a leading figure in Italian conceptual art, whose pieces are featured in the section dedicated to the Institute’s legacy and the study of the brain. The exhibition is organized with the support of the Italian Embassy in Lithuania and the Italian Cultural Institute in Vilnius.
