Global City Dammam Expands Attractions Ahead of Second Season
Eastern Region Mayor Eng. Fahad Al-Jubair reviewed the progress of development work and preparations for the second season of Global City Dammam. The new season will feature attractions and expansions aimed at enhancing the visitor experience and strengthening the city's position as a leading tourism, entertainment, and investment destination in Eastern Region. The city aims to attract approximately 5.2 million visitors during its second season, up from more than 3 million recorded during the first season.
During his tour, Al-Jubair inspected the development of international pavilions and expansions to facilities, investment zones, and entertainment areas. He also reviewed new attractions and experiences designed to broaden the cultural, recreational, and commercial options available to visitors, in line with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing's objectives to introduce innovative experiences for tourists visiting the Kingdom.
The second season will feature 23 international pavilions, five open-air international markets, 13 restaurants, six cafés, and 60 food and beverage kiosks. New attractions include an Asian village, a future zone dedicated to artificial intelligence and robotics, a Dinosaur city, and an interactive fountain, offering a diverse range of experiences for visitors.
These expansions are part of the municipality's efforts to develop municipal assets, maximize their use, and broaden partnership opportunities with the private sector. The initiatives are expected to support the growth of tourism, entertainment, and investment, stimulate the local economy, and enhance quality of life, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
