A throwback clip from Kaya FM, now Kaya 959, has found its way back onto social media timelines, reigniting conversation about Wendy Parker after her ex-husband, former Bafana Bafana star Bernard Parker, went public with news of their relationship split.
The footage, originally filmed during a Diski Divas studio segment in 2015, shows what begins as a relatively composed discussion before escalating into a heated backstage confrontation. On-screen captions reference both "Wendy Parker" and "Bernard Parker," and the clip carries an unmistakable tension as voices are raised and things quickly become physical. During the altercation, one voice is heard shouting, "Step out of my way, Wendy! I will tear you up! Pregnant or not!"
What Wendy said about the Kaya FM incident
At the time, Wendy addressed the drama directly with The Citizen, pushing back against how the media portrayed the backstage scene. "There was no violence. There was pushing and pointing in faces, and a bit of hair pulling. It was not as violent as the media has made out. No klaps were given out," she said.
She also noted that the confrontation stemmed from frustrations that had been building among the other Divas on the show, claiming the woman she clashed with had been making disparaging remarks about her cast mates, and that they had collectively reached a breaking point.
Why the video is trending again
The clip resurfaced in the wake of Bernard Parker's public statement on 12 October 2026 in which the 40-year-old former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder announced his split from Serbian-born businesswoman Kacha Stepanovic. In the post, Parker acknowledged a three-year romantic relationship with Stepanovic and revealed that the two are co-parenting six children together. His apology to Stepanovic was widely read as an admission of infidelity.
The announcement left many football fans asking about Wendy, whom Bernard married back in 2012, prompting searches that led audiences straight back to the old Kaya FM clip.
