After 44 long years of waiting, the Milwaukee Brewers have finally won a World Series game once again. The Brewers withstood a late Rays rally, one that included an overturned call on a potential game-ending double play, to claim the 3-2 win in Game 1.
Following all the drama of the final inning, Brewers fans inside American Family Field let out a sigh of relief as they were finally able to celebrate the win after the final out. A fan video taken from the stands was able to see the ecstasy of the crowd as the Brewers clinched the victory.

Some Brewers fans may have thought they were in for a blowout win when Milwaukee got off to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. Captain Christian Yelich drew first blood with an RBI triple off Nike Martinez. However, the Rays were able to recover after a rocky start and kept it close right until the end.
Brewers closer Trevor Megill had some trouble closing the game out in the ninth. After a Yandy Diaz groundout, Megill surrendered back-to-back singles to Jonathan Aranda and Chandler Simpson. After a Rays double steal, the Brewers walked Junior Caminero to load the bases.
Liam Hicks grounded out in the very next at-bat. While pinch runner Jorge Mateo scored, the Brewers thought they had turned the game-ending double play. But the Rays challenged and were able to get the call overturned. After the delay for the review, Megill was able to compose himself to strike out Jonny DeLuca to close out the game.
Brewers fans will be hoping for another exciting game (and win) as Game 2 rolls along on Saturday night.
