The New England Patriots could be without running back TreVeyon Henderson for "multiple weeks," following the ankle injury that he suffered in last week's win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Henderson will not need surgery, but he is dealing with a high ankle sprain injury that will take time to heal. Patriots star wide receiver A.J. Brown suffered the same injury in Week 1 of the regular season and went on injured reserve.
Granted, there are always differences in the severity of the sprains, but the good news is that Henderson won't have to undergo surgery, which shortens his return timeline.

Losing Henderson is another blow for the Patriots in a season filled with major injuries.
The team will continue to lean on Rhamondre Stevenson as their lead running back, while also promoting Corey Kiner as the No. 2 option. They might then look to the practice squad to elevate Lan Larison as the new No. 3 running back. The former undrafted rookie is a versatile option with the ability to run, receive and contribute on special teams.
When one door closes, another opens for this resilient Patriots team.
