There are plenty of prints that come and go with the seasons, but every now and then one arrives that feels especially perfect for the time of year. This autumn, it's deer print that's having a serious moment in the style spotlight, bringing a charming, countryside touch to everything from knitwear to outerwear. And, while I love a classic leopard print (as does Nigella Lawson), there's something about the woodland motif that's far more fitting for the colder months.
Naturally, Next has caught onto the trend, and its Brown Animal Deer Print Faux Fur Jacket is perhaps one of the chicest ways I've seen to wear it. Priced at just £75, the slightly cropped style combines the dotted print with tactile faux fur finish, making it seem far more elevated and expensive than you'd think at first glance.

The silhouette is especially chic, featuring a polished collar, easy zip fastening and contrasting welt pockets. It also comes crafted from a irresistibly soft lining making it a great choice for chilly autumn mornings. It's a staple that can instantly make a simple outfit feel more considered - without the added muss or fuss.

As for styling, I'd wear it with dark indigo jeans and loafers for a pared back everyday look, with a silk (or satin) scarf tied around the waist for a focal point. Alternatively, opt for pieces that add an injection of boho charm: think knee high boots, a crisp white embroidered skirt, and a fluffy knit underneath.
As for figuring out what colours to wear with the jacket, there's a conveyer belt to choose from. Burgundy would compliment the dotty style, as well as cream and khaki for a deeper and richer outfit formula.
