The Green Bay Packers got some huge news prior to their Week 6 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, as it was revealed that Josh Jacobs would be activated off the NFL's Commissioner Exempt list on Monday after Week 6.
Now that the day has come, there are plenty of questions about what Jacob's involvement in the Packers will look like going forward. He's not played in well over a month, so the questions about his workload are very real.
Rob Domovsky of ESPN shared a big update on the Packers' plans with Jacobs, as Matt LaFleur revealed Green Bay won't have such a simple plan with Jacobs for Week 7.
Packers reveal plan with Josh Jacobs amid return to NFL
"Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Josh Jacobs will practice on Wednesday and get a full week of work but TBD on whether he'll play on Sunday at Detroit," Demovsky reports.
The Packers are going to bring Jacobs up to speed with a full week of work at practice, which is an encouraging sign for Jacobs to return in Week 7.
However, LaFleur revealed the team still might not play Jacobs in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions, even if he gets in a full week of work.
LaFleur explained, "We feel like he's in a pretty good spot. He's been training, but he's missed the exposure to football."

It seems likely that Green Bay will make him active if they believe he's ready for NFL contact, but if he's not ready to go, they're not afraid of making him a healthy scratch for a week.
There is a big difference between working out and staying in shape for an NFL season versus being ready to take on big hits, like Jacobs will as a running back.
Jacobs isn't a lock to play in Week 7, but the Packers are intent on working him into the offense during practice to see where he's at. If all goes well, then Jacobs might play.
This plan from the Packers makes perfect sense. It's a long season, and sitting at 4-2, the Packers should have no reason to rush Jacobs back if he's not 100% ready to go.
