Agartala, October 16, 2026: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has appealed to candidates of the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET-1) to refrain from staging protests, assuring them that the government is aware of their concerns and will take necessary steps to address the situation.
Addressing the issue, the Chief Minister urged the candidates to maintain faith in the government, stating that demonstrations were unnecessary as the authorities were already aware of the matter.
“I would urge them to have faith. In my view, there is absolutely no need for this kind of agitation. I don’t know exactly how they are conducting their protest, but it is entirely unnecessary. We are fully aware of the situation and will certainly take action,” Dr Saha said.
The Chief Minister observed that such protests could cause inconvenience to the general public while also creating difficulties for the candidates themselves. He appealed to the aspirants to reconsider their approach and refrain from further agitation, saying it would be in their own interest and beneficial for everyone.
“Our government is highly sensitive to the needs of the people. We will take the necessary steps whenever required,” he said, reiterating that the government remained conscious of the concerns raised by the candidates.
Dr Saha further maintained that resorting to protests would not yield any positive outcome and called upon the TET-1 candidates to place their trust in the government’s response to the issue.
His remarks come amid concerns raised by TET-1 candidates, with the Chief Minister assuring that the government would take appropriate measures as and when required.i
