The Ministry of Interior has announced the temporary closure of six police stations, effective Sunday, as part of a development plan to upgrade their facilities and transform them into model police stations.
The ministry said alternative stations have been designated to receive reports and process citizens’ transactions throughout the closure period, ensuring that essential police services remain accessible to the public.
During the temporary closure, people who need police services at Al-Shamiya Police Station can visit Kaifan Police Station. Those who usually visit Al-Qasr Police Station should go to Al-Naeem Police Station, while visitors to Al-Farwaniya Police Station can use Al-Omariya Police Station.
Similarly, people who need services at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Police Station can visit Abu Futaira Police Station, while those who normally go to Al-Shuhada Police Station should visit Al-Siddiq Police Station. Visitors to Sabah Al-Ahmad North Police Station can use Sabah Al-Ahmad South Police Station instead.
The ministry said the temporary closures are part of ongoing efforts to modernize police facilities and improve service delivery. The designated alternative stations will handle public reports and transactions until the upgrading work is completed.
