With fuel prices squeezing South African motorists from all directions, one Porsche owner decided to take her frustrations straight to the top, or as she put it, to "the father of our cars." TikTok creator @pam_marlowe posted a humorous POV-style video on 23 October in which she drove to Porsche Centre Johannesburg.

She only had 53 kilometres of fuel remaining in her tank. Her mission? To find out what the German luxury brand planned to do about the country's punishing petrol prices. She announced at the start of the clip, her tongue firmly in her cheek.
"This is me going straight to posh just to go ask them, in these tough times of petrol being so expensive, what is their plan?"
The dealership, it turns out, could not fix the national fuel crisis. What it could offer, however, was a complimentary car wash for her dusty vehicle and a cappuccino served with "911" latte art, a detail that was not lost on viewers. "I'm so embarrassed. I don't know how this car got to be like this," she laughed, seemingly speaking on behalf of the dealership as she narrated the encounter.
The Porsche owner @pam_marlowe rounded off the visit by strolling through the showroom, eyeing gleaming vehicles and declaring her faith that a Porsche 911 was on its way to her. "I'm trusting the Lord for my 9 1 1," she said, before selecting a more modest model to take home. Watch the video that had South Africa laughing:
