LE SSERAFIM join Takes Us Out for a must-watch hang at Jongro BBQ in New York City, where the members dig into a spread of Korean dishes and talk fearlessness, tour life, and unforgettable “FEARNOT” moments. Plus, they play “Line ’Em Up” with ginger shots, share favorite lyrics, deep cuts and dream collaborations.
From Chaewon’s take on how “admitting fear makes you stronger,” to deep-cut picks such as “The Great Mermaid,” the group opens up about their bond, writing personal songs and what it’s like hearing fans sing Korean lyrics all over the world. Then it’s lightning-round time: solo cover picks, dream collabs and the biggest tour distraction.
Huh Yunjin: It’s just, oh, she’s-
Delisa Shannon: Why have you never told her this? She’s, first time she’s hearing it. Hello. Hello. How are you? Hi. Hi. Nice to meet you. Hi, it’s so nice to meet you.
Huh Yunjin: Hello, we’re LE SSERAFIM. [upbeat music]
Waitress: Hello.
LE SSERAFIM: Hi. Hi. Hi.
Waitress: Welcome to Jongro. How are you guys doing today?
Delisa Shannon and LE SSERAFIM: Good. We’re good.
LE SSERAFIM: We’re hungry. [Laughs]
Waitress: Just wanna make sure, any allergies today or-
LE SSERAFIM: No. No. I think we’re good.
Waitress: Thank you, guys.
Delisa Shannon & LE SSERFAIM: Thank you. Thank you.
Delisa Shannon: No allergies over here. I’m-
Huh Yunjin: Not at all.
Delisa Shannon: … so excited for this order.
LE SSERFAIM: Yeah.
Delisa Shannon: I’m trusting y’all with my life.
Huh Yunjin: Oh, is it your first time catering with you?
Delisa Shannon: It’s not my first time, but any time we order, it’s always somebody else’s role.
Huh Yunjin: Oh.
Delisa Shannon: I’m the eater.
LE SSERAFIM: Ah. Ah.
Huh Yunjin: She is usually the type to eat, rather than to order.
Delisa Shannon: OK I do a great job at that. Um… Yeah. Ordering, not so much … not so much.
Huh Yunjin: Well, I mean, for us it’s like we’re good at both.
Delisa Shannon: Yeah.
Huh Yunjin: When we eat, we’re like, “Let’s eat. Let’s dig in.” And we love to get like some ssam together in Korea all the time. There’s a place, there’s a really good place right outside of our, um, company, and we go there all the time. And we were literally just talking about how much we miss it. ‘Cause we’ve been here for, like, a little bit over a month now, so-
Delisa Shannon: Y’all gotta get home.
