Brandi Glanville is preparing to have her “face taken off” this week amid her ongoing battle with facial disfigurement.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum revealed the “great news” on Thursday’s episode of her “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast, saying she will undergo the drastic procedure Friday.
“Dr. Carlo Henrado is taking my face off on Friday and going to do an exploratory surgery to kind of do a power wash under my skin,” Glanville, 53, told her co-host, James Maas.
She said the doctor had identified two distinct spots beneath her skin that he believes could be either “fungal balls or something alive.”
“I think it’s alive, personally, because it moves when it wants,” she added.
Glanville went on to explain that Henrado came “highly recommended” and agreed to perform the procedure for whatever amount insurance would cover, plus an additional $5,000.
“But I’m OK with that. He’s like, ‘If I can cut the head off the beast, the snake, then the other stuff we’ll be able to get,” she continued.
The former model admitted that she’s “super excited” but also “scared to death,” as she’s “never had facial surgery.”
She noted that a woman she knows recently underwent a facelift, but said her own procedure is different and “more intensive,” according to her doctor.
“He’s, like, literally going in there with a power washer, basically, and knives and all this s–t. And then he’s spinning my blood and doing this platelet thing on the inside of my face,” Glanville explained before joking, “We might not want my blood at this point.”
Last month, Glanville revealed she had been diagnosed with multiple conditions after years of unexplained health issues, including “highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley fever), Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis.”
She also previously disclosed that she had a fungal ball in her face that she was preparing to have surgically removed.
The reality TV star shared footage of an ultrasound on Instagram in early September, claiming her doctors “saw something alive” and “moving” beneath the skin of her face.
“If I don’t find a doctor to cut this out of my face, I’m just going to do it myself,” she said in the Reel at the time.
Glanville first blamed Bravo for her facial disfigurement in 2024, later claiming doctors suspected a “parasite that jumps around [her] face,” while others attributed her symptoms to “stress-induced edema.”
In February, she instead blamed her 20-year-old breast implants — which she said had “ruptured” and “leak[ed] silicone into her lymph nodes” — for her ongoing health struggles.
Glanville later revealed she had been diagnosed with a benign facial tumor “in one of [her] lymph nodes in [her] face.”
