Free agent Troy Aikman has supposedly released another break-up mixed tape with another organization after his break-up mixed tape with ESPN went viral.
Also, don’t ask what a mixed tape is.
Longtime commentator partner Joe Buck and the former Dallas Cowboys legend allegedly got into an argument prior to the Los Angeles Rams facing off against the Buffalo Bills Monday night game regarding the “tension” between he and Aikman regarding Buck’s six-year deal with ESPN. The tension molds from the fact that Aikman has yet to receive an offer, Front Office Sports reported.
Buck and Aikman have been calling games together for 25 years and are expected to work the Super Bowl next year.
All this silence from ESPN has led Aikman to believe he’s soon to be on the hunt for a new landing spot.
“It just seems to be where they’re going – that they’re gonna go in a different direction because there’s been no talks, no contract negotiations,” Aikman said to . “We’re in a Super Bowl year. The Super Bowl is Feb. 14. My contract ends in March. It just doesn’t seem logical that if they’re were gonna keep me, something wouldn’t be in place before that.”
On Friday, it was announced that Aikman is no longer officially working with the Miami Dolphins, leaving him open to possibly taking a post with another NFL team if he desires. Aikman signed on during the offseason as a consultant with the Dolphins to help reshape their football operations, Front Office Sports reported.
He doesn’t have a “formal and ongoing agreement,” a source told FOS.
