RIIZE’s Unrecognizable Visuals Ahead Of Comeback Slammed With Brutal Reactions

Days before RIIZE’s comeback, the members’ renewed visuals have triggered a wave of criticism among netizens.

Ahead of the release of their new digital single, “Insomnia,” RIIZE unveiled a moody group photo of all six members sporting new hairstyles, from a short cut for Sohee to platinum blonde waves for Wonbin. The photo soon went viral for the wrong reasons among Korean netizens, with one sharing a blunt verdict on the community site Instiz.

What is this hair for RIIZE’s comeback?

Only two made it out alive again. I fucking hate it. It looks like shit. It’s hopeless.

Numerous fans piled on to agree, with some calling the hair the worst part of an already disappointing look for the comeback. Others pointed out that the hairstyles appeared to be wigs, which only left them more confused about why these looks were chosen.

• “Seriously, the hair…. Why is it like this, seriously?”
• “What could possibly have been the reason to go as far as putting wigs on them just to give them those hairstyles?”
• “Even if you’re putting wigs on them, how do you pick ones like that?”
• “I haven’t weighed in until now, but everything they’ve released looks bad, and the hair is the worst of all”
• “What are those bangs?”
• “Seems like there are designated members whose looks they sabotage with weird hairstyles in this group. Every time I look, it’s those same members again.”

Even international fans were left baffled by the group’s new styling.

While some netizens defended the concept, many more accused the styling team of repeatedly giving the same members unflattering hairstyles. RIIZE is set to release “Insomnia” on October 26, followed by their second full-length album, EMOTIION, in spring 2027.
