WASHINGTON, October 22. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump said that his potential trilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping should focus, among other things, on denuclearization.
At Joint Base Andrews near Washington, reporters asked the president about the issue of a Ukrainian settlement at the potential trilateral meeting. "I can't tell you that because it's not just about that. That's about denuclearization. So it's not just about that. But we have a lot of steps. But I think it's the closest I've seen. You see what I see," Trump said as quoted by the White House press pool.
Reporters also asked the president what was next with the war, though they did not specify which conflict they were referring to. "We want to also settle the war, but we also want to keep it the way it is because Russia has not been involved very much, certainly in a very minimal way with respect to Iran," Trump responded.
