By Zoila Palma: Over the weekend, Belize participated in the Verre Reizen Event in Gorinchem, Netherlands as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s visibility in the Dutch travel market and attract more visitors to the destination.
The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) said that the event provided an opportunity to showcase the country’s diverse tourism offerings, including accommodations, tours, and visitor experiences.
Through direct engagement with prospective travelers, Belize’s representatives highlighted what makes the country a unique destination and encouraged more people to experience it firsthand.
Several tourism industry stakeholders joined in representing Belize at the event, including Darah Transfers and Tours Ltd, K’in Resort, and Parrot Cove Lodge.
ABC Travel, a Netherlands-based travel agency that sells Belize as a destination, also participated in the initiative.
The BTB expressed appreciation to the participating businesses for their partnership and commitment to promoting Belize’s tourism industry.
