Film press junkets offer the perfect moment for co-stars to gush over working together (just look at the unfiltered love-in between Dakota Johnson and Anne Hathaway on the recent tour for Verity), but the quirkiest way to complement your cast mate must surely be wearing them literally on your person. Cast your mind back to May 2025’s Cannes Film Festival, where Elle Fanning wore a T-shirt dedicated to her director in Sentimental Value, bearing the slogan “Joachim Trier Summer”, or Venice Film Festival three months later, where Julia Roberts arrived at Marco Polo airport to promote After the Hunt, wearing a cardigan tessellated with the face of her director, Luca Guadagnino.

Gilbert Flores/Getty ImagesNow, Alexander Skarsgård – whose Harry Lambert-styled looks for the Wicker press tour have already included sheer plastic brogues by Saint Laurent – has also entered portrait mode. In the bonkers Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson-directed romantic fantasy comedy, Skarsgård plays a sentient man made of wicker, woven by an ostracised fisherwoman, played by recent Miu Miu runway star Olivia Colman, in search of companionship. Last night at the Los Angeles premiere of the film, Skarsgård wore a custom photo-printed top with Colman’s face, dreamt up by London-based brand Chopova Lowena, paired with a tartan carabiner-clip kilt. “It was such a joy to work on something so playful together,” say the brand’s founders Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons.
Ever since Skarsgård rolled up to the press tour of BDSM biker romance Pillion in kinky, leather-clad looks, his red-carpet moments have commanded attention. As the Wicker tour rumbles on, we can only hope Lambert has his eyes on the raffia creations dreamt up by fellow basket-weaving enthusiast Matthieu Blazy on the Chanel haute/couture autumn/winter 2026 runway.
