Lumentum Stock: Daily Support Meets Weaker Momentum Readings
Lumentum stock’s daily chart preserves longer-term support from the 50- and 200-session EMAs. However, price trades below the 20-session EMA and pivot-derived levels. Daily RSI14 at 50.87 sits just above neutral.
The daily 20-session EMA stands at $1006.5, above price. Meanwhile, the 50-session EMA at $940.31 and the 200-session EMA at $752.23 remain below it. These averages preserve a longer-horizon support framework, but price does not satisfy a fully bullish alignment.
Daily RSI14 fell to 50.87 from 62.6, leaving it just above the neutral 50 threshold. The daily MACD histogram declined to 2.85 from 11.44. However, the MACD line at 47.04 remains above its signal at 44.19, so that relationship is still positive.
The daily Bollinger mid-band is $988.57, just below the session-end price. Its upper and lower bands stand at $1151.08 and $826.05. Price therefore sits near the middle of that envelope, not at either extreme. Daily ATR14 increased to $71.03 from $67, indicating greater measured volatility than in the preceding daily candle.
Notably, price is below the daily first support (S1) at $1072.82, the daily pivot at $1107.91 and first resistance (R1) at $1138.44. These references come from the previous completed daily candle and apply to Monday’s session. Their position above price adds a bearish counterweight to the longer-term averages.
Lumentum Stock: Hourly Weakness Outweighs Short-Term MACD Signal
The hourly chart shows bearish dominance for Lumentum stock. Price is below both the 20-hour and 50-hour EMAs, hourly RSI14 is 33.42, and the hourly MACD line remains below its signal.
On the hourly chart, price is below the 20-hour EMA at $1045.18 and the 50-hour EMA at $1054.25. It remains above the 200-hour EMA at $985.63.
Hourly RSI14 rose to 33.42 from 31.27, but stays below 50 and above the oversold threshold. Meanwhile, the hourly MACD line is -25.56, below its signal at -14.2, with a negative histogram of -11.36. The hourly momentum readings therefore remain bearish despite the RSI increase.
Price sits above the hourly pivot at $991.17 and below hourly first resistance at $999.83. Hourly first support is $980.68. It is also below the hourly Bollinger mid-band at $1054.68, between the lower band at $952.48 and upper band at $1156.88.
In contrast, the 15-minute MACD line at -16.44 is above its signal at -21.05, producing a positive histogram of 4.61. That is a timing signal, not confirmation of a bullish daily trend. The 15-minute RSI14 is 36.21, below 50. Price and the quarter-hour EMAs are bearishly stacked: $1001.07, $1032.66 and $1044.96 sit successively above price.
For short-term execution context, price is above the 15-minute pivot at $994.47 and below first resistance at $1000.32. First support is $989.93. The Bollinger mid-band is $991.09, with the upper band at $1004.62 and lower band at $977.56.

Lumentum Stock: Bullish and Bearish Scenarios
Lumentum stock’s near-term direction hinges on whether price can hold above the daily Bollinger mid-band at $988.57.
A bullish scenario requires price to hold above the daily Bollinger mid-band at $988.57 and reclaim the daily 20-session EMA at $1006.5. Clearing the hourly averages at $1045.18 and $1054.25 would add confirmation. The daily first support reference at $1072.82 would then be another overhead level to reclaim.
Conversely, a break below $988.57 would undermine that bullish case. Below it, the hourly 200-hour EMA at $985.63 precedes hourly first support at $980.68 and the session low at $980. A break below those references would put the daily 50-session EMA at $940.31 into the bearish scenario.
Overall, Lumentum stock stands between the daily mid-band at $988.57 and the 20-session EMA at $1006.5. Daily ATR14 at $71.03 underscores the volatility, while bearish hourly readings conflict with the positive 15-minute MACD relationship. Whether price can reclaim daily resistance remains unresolved.
