Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Durrani instructed private schools to follow the ruling in letter and spirit. Officials said institutions found charging fees for winter holidays could face strict action. Possible penalties include cancellation of school registration and sealing of school buildings. The measures aim to ensure compliance with the court’s decision.
The deputy commissioner has also urged parents to report schools that continue collecting winter vacation fees. Parents can submit complaints to his office or the relevant education department. According to the report, authorities will take immediate action against institutions found violating the notification. The administration has emphasised the importance of enforcing the restrictions.
Balochistan follows different winter vacation schedules because of variations in weather across the province. The Education Department divides schools into cold and warm zones. Schools in colder areas generally close in mid-December for around two and a half months. Institutions in warmer areas usually observe a shorter winter break of approximately ten days.
