Mckenna Grace is on her way to becoming a bonafide red carpet superstar. The actor, who plays District 12 tribute Maysilee Donner in the highly anticipated Hunger Games prequel Sunrise on the Reaping, has been wowing us with her press tour looks, which span the gamut from a Rapunzel-esque floral braid and pastel gown to mod minidresses.
According to Grace, her Sunrise on the Reaping costumes were inspired by one extremely iconic musician: Stevie Nicks. “Sunrise on the Reaping, at least [on] all the mood boards, there was Stevie Nicks,” the star explained. “It was very ’60s, ’70s-inspired.” Her own personal style, however, is a bit different from the witchy capes and fringe beloved by Nicks. “My style has changed a lot. I had a really big life-changing surgery on my back a few years ago that changed the way I stand and the way that my body looks in clothes, so I feel like my style is kind of ever-evolving,” Grace told WWD in September. “Lately, I really enjoy being girly and feminine, and getting to wear skirts and dresses. When I was a kid, I just wanted to be a tomboy. I didn’t want anything to do with being girly and feminine because I didn’t want anybody to see me as weak or lesser than. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to realize that—it also doesn’t matter what other people think of me—but just because I’m feminine doesn’t make me weak.” Grace has been working with stylist Molly Dickson, who also works with Sadie Sink and Camila Mendes.

Butterflies have been a key element of Grace's Hunger Games looks, which is likely an Easter egg alluding to the film. For an event in Newport Beach, California, the star matched the blue carpet in a tea-length strapless navy dress embellished with a flutter of the enchanting winged creatures.

Va va voom! In a marked departure from the pastel gowns of her Hunger Games tour, Grace attended the Academy Museum Gala in a scorching red column gown reminiscent of the Calvin Klein gown Jennifer Lawrence wore at the 2011 Oscars.

For a special exhibit in Paris entitled “Elegance is Authority: The Story, Style, and Power of Panem in Paris on Tuesday,” Grace wore the dramatic, voluminous tulle gown donned by Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen in Catching Fire, complete with the bold, structural metal bodice details. (You know, the dress that transforms onstage in the movie!) Grace's dress was actually a recreation of the film dress, but either way, it's just as stunning as the original.
