“This match marked the first international action for Savy King – who played in the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup – since she suffered a cardiac event on May 9, 2025, that led to surgery to address a heart abnormality. She returned to the field for Angel City FC at the beginning of this NWSL season and played in four matches before suffering a foot injury that kept her off the field for four months. She has played nine NWSL matches since her return from that injury.”
