Today’s Bitcoin price forecast shows the asset at $83,800, down a modest 0.2% over 24 hours on October 14, 2026. That is below the $85,000 level marked as strong resistance, as a possible retest looms if inflation data eases concerns about another rate hike.
New York Fed President John Williams said he saw no need for further rate hikes in 2027, but that one more hike this year may be appropriate, according to a Bloomberg article. Thursday’s US inflation report is the next big test for Bitcoin and the broader crypto market.
For Bitcoin, the distinction between a dovish longer-term view and a possible near-term hike matters. Rate expectations can shape dollar and liquidity conditions, and all eyes will be on tomorrow’s inflation report for a signal on the market’s next move.

Bitcoin Price Forecast: Can BTC USD Hit $85,000 Ahead of Tomorrow’s US Inflation Report?
$85,000 is the next potential retest level for Bitcoin, but is also a heavy resistance zone. At $83,800, BTC USD would need to gain about 1.7% to reach it. CoinGeko reported the 24-hour range was $83,142 to $83,948, leaving the spot quote near the top of that interval.
This report lacks enough information to assess volume, moving averages, momentum, or a reliable support level. The report also does not provide seven-day performance.
That limits the strength of any forecast: a narrow intraday range and a modest daily gain can mark stabilization, but they do not by themselves confirm sustained demand.
What would make the $85,000 test more convincing? Follow-through after the inflation release, ideally with broader market participation.
The bull case is that inflation cools enough to reduce the perceived chance of another 2026 hike, allowing Bitcoin to challenge $85,000. The base case is consolidation while traders digest the data and Williams’ comments.
The bear case is a hotter-than-expected reading or renewed rate pressure; a move below the reported $83,142 intraday low would weaken the immediate bounce, though that level is not established support.

A modest bounce offers room for optimism, but it does not remove the risk of a reversal. And with no verified volume or trend data in the supplied material, the case for chasing this move is limited. That is the awkward middle ground: macro relief can lift prices quickly, while the next data point can take the bid away.
Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is presented by its project as a Bitcoin Layer 2 with Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) integration. The project describes itself as the first Bitcoin Layer 2 with SVM and says it aims to bring faster smart-contract execution and lower-cost transactions to Bitcoin. Those performance and “first ever” claims are project claims, not independently verified facts.
The listed presale price is $0.0136875, with over $33.1M raised. Staking is live at a high annual percentage yield (APY) of 35%. Its stated features include a decentralized canonical bridge for Bitcoin transfers and low-latency Layer 2 processing.
HYPER now has a November 26 launch date, meaning less than six weeks remain until one of the most anticipated presale projects in recent memory launches. This also means that time is running out to secure a bag at early-stage prices.
