The All Progressives Congress (APC) has projected at least 80 per cent of votes in Sokoto State for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party candidates in the 2027 general elections, while targeting 15 million votes across the North-West.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the APC National Chairman Alhaji Yusuf Dingyadi made the projection, saying that the party was confident of sweeping the presidential, governorship, National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections in Sokoto.
“We have no doubt that we will win elections. By the grace of God, APC is going to win the State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship and Presidency. Out of 100 per cent, we will get at least 80 per cent of all votes to be cast,”
On the North-West, Dingyadi claimed that the region had more than 20 million votes, expressing confidence that the APC would secure at least 15 million.
“The North-West has almost over 20 million votes and we are assured of getting not less than 15 million,” he added.
He attributed the party’s optimism to its preparations for the elections, disclosing that committees had been established from ward to zonal levels to coordinate its activities and mobilise voters.
He also announced that the APC’s presidential campaign would be flagged off in Kaduna on October 24.
He called on Nigerians to complement government efforts in providing social amenities and addressing citizens’ needs.
The projection comes as political parties position themselves for the 2027 elections, with Sokoto expected to be a key battleground in the North-West.
