McDonald’s Canada just teased that a new sandwich will be launching across Canada, and it has left us wondering what exactly it will be.
The fast-food chain shared the news on Instagram on Friday with the caption “move over everyone else, big mama (Big Tasty) is on the way.” As for the pictures, they included zoomed-in photos of the burger.
While the Big Tasty is an existing menu item at international McDonald’s, whether this will be the same or an entirely different burger has yet to be determined. At other McDonald’s around the globe, the Big Tasty is a burger topped with two slices of cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and a special Big Tasty sauce — ingredients that look like they match up to what is pictured.

However, this could also be a variation of the Big N’ Tasty, which was a sandwich sold at McDonald’s in the States and was discontinued in 2011. This sandwich featured a quarter-pound beef patty, ketchup, mayonnaise, onions, lettuce, pickles, and tomato on a seeded bun.

This wouldn’t be the first time McDonald’s has brought an international sandwich to Canada, as earlier this year the chain featured a number of menu items from around the world, including the McExtreme Pulled Pork from Spain, the Chicken Parmi Burger from Australia, Cheesy Bacon McFlavour Fries from France, and Garlic and Black Pepper Chicken Nuggets from Japan.
The post about the Big Tasty also included a date of Oct. 27, so we may just have to wait until then to see what this new sandwich is all about.
As for other McDonald’s news, the chain recently launched a lineup of craft sodas and two drinks made with Redbull — the Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer and Red Bull Tropicberry Energizer.
