Hyosung Chemical's high-performance material has appeared at the international plastics processing exhibition 'Fakuma 2026' held in Friedrichshafen, Germany. At the exhibition, which runs from Oct. 12 to 16, Hyosung Chemical will target the global market by highlighting 'POKETONE', a core material for future industries such as electric vehicles and humanoid robots.
POKETONE is a high-performance plastic material characterized by its resistance to impact, abrasion, and chemicals. Its advantage lies in its low moisture absorption rate, allowing it to maintain its shape and dimensions stably. Furthermore, its strength and flame retardancy can be enhanced depending on the application, making it recognized as a high-value specialty material across various industries.
Hyosung Chemical has set the theme of this exhibition as 'Automobiles, Robotics, Medical' and is intensively introducing actual application cases. In particular, the company emphasizes that POKETONE can be applied to joint gears and shaft support components of humanoid robots, which must withstand repetitive movements and friction.
The product lineup targeting the electric vehicle components market has also been included in the exhibition list. The company's plan is to prove the broad utility of POKETONE by displaying automotive connectors, gears, and driving components that require high durability, as well as medical components where precision is essential.
On Oct. 14, the third day of the exhibition, a separate technical seminar will be held under the theme of 'Globally Proven Materials, a Future Opened by Technology'. At this event, Hyosung Chemical plans to promote its technological superiority while discussing specific ways to expand the application scope of POKETONE with global clients.
Europe is considered a market with high demand for high-performance materials due to its solid foundation in automobile and industrial equipment manufacturing. Hyosung Chemical plans to strengthen its business dominance in Europe by increasing the supply of POKETONE, focusing on new industries such as electric vehicles and robotics.
Lee Cheon-seok, CEO of Hyosung Chemical, explained, "POKETONE is expanding its potential for utilization across various industries, including electric vehicles, robotics, and medical sectors," and added, "We will expand the application fields with customized technical support in line with industrial changes that demand both sustainability and high performance."
