SEONGNAM — The city of Seongnam will accept applications from Oct. 26 through Nov. 13 for 300 participants in the third edition of Connectors, a social gathering for young adults.
The travel-themed event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 29 at the Wirye Militopia Hotel in Changgok-dong, Sujeong District. The city will select 150 men and 150 women.
Participants will mingle by sharing travel experiences, favorite destinations and preferred travel styles. Entertainer Lalal will host a talk concert in character as Lee Myung-hwa, a 67-year-old neighborhood women's association president. The program will also take up stories about dating, marriage and relationships.
Participants will then form small groups of 10 based on their travel interests for conversation and hands-on activities.
The event is open to single workers aged 27 to 43 who live in Seongnam or work at a company in the city. Self-employed people and freelancers may also apply if they meet the requirements.
Applications can be submitted through the integrated reservation menu on the Seongnam city website or in person at the city government's women and family affairs division. A combined 600 people took part in the first two events, and two couples from those gatherings are preparing to marry.
