Today is the final day for young people aged 12 to 22 to register for the International Network for Indigenous Health, Knowledge and Development (INIHKD) Youth Forum, which will be held in Rarotonga next month.
The four-day forum, organised in partnership with Kōrero o te ‘Ōrau, will run from November 9 to 12, alongside the INIHKD 2026 gathering under the theme “Reclaiming Indigenous Ecologies of Love for Future Generations” (RIEL FFG).
The youth forum will bring together Indigenous young people to connect with their peers, strengthen their relationships with land, sea and sky, and celebrate Indigenous knowledge, culture and community.
Participants will explore topics including ocean and reef environments, land and mountains, cultural traditions, leadership and collaboration through workshops, environmental learning, creative activities, dance, performances and traditional knowledge sharing.
Organisers are encouraging Indigenous youth aged 12 to 22 to register before the deadline today, Wednesday, October 14.
Registration is available online at https://www.jotform.com/build/262445958564067.
The youth forum will take place alongside the wider INIHKD gathering, which is expected to attract more than 600 delegates to Rarotonga from November 9 to 13.
The international gathering will bring together Indigenous scholars, researchers, practitioners, creatives and community leaders from Aotearoa, Australia, Canada, Hawai‘i, the United States, the Pacific and other parts of the world.
