The Green Bay Packers are 4-2 to begin the 2026 NFL season, putting them in excellent position with the impending returns of running back Josh Jacobs and pass rusher Micah Parsons.
Last week, the NFL removed Jacobs from the Commissioner Exempt List — making him eligible to return for this coming Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the division-rival Detroit Lions. Parsons will not practice this week, but the generational pass-rush talent is quickly approaching his return as he continues to recover from the torn ACL injury he suffered last season.
After the Packers' Week 6 win over the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay cornerback Keisean Nixon was asked about these impending reinforcements.
"It's a different team now. Think they was scared of us then? We'll see what happen when 8 get back and then 1 come back," Nixon said. "We'll see."
The Packers are 4-2 despite an almost non-existent run game. Without Jacobs in the lineup, Green Bay ranks dead last in rushing yards per game.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has not yet confirmed if Jacobs will play in Week 7, but the veteran running back will get a full slate of practice this week.
