A special screening of the critically acclaimed Indian animated feature film Return of the Jungle will be held at Indian Institute of Educational Theatre (IIET) in Hardwicke School on Jhansi Lakshmi Bai Road, Mysuru, on October 24 and 25.
“This movie ran successfully in theatres for nine weeks. Directed by Vaibhav Kumaresh and produced by Vaibhav Studios, Return of the Jungle is a 96-minute Hindi animated feature (with English subtitles) inspired by the timeless fables of the Panchatantra. The story follows nine-year-old Mihir and his group of friends who turn to their beloved grandfather, ‘Thatha’, for inspiration from ancient Indian jungle folklore to navigate everyday school challenges and outwit the school bully,” said a statement from the organisers.
The film will be screened at 6 p.m. on October 24 (Saturday) and at 11 a.m. on October 25 (Sunday). Entry is free and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, the statement said.
“This special screening aims to showcase contemporary Indian animation craftsmanship that appeals to both children and adults. Offering a blend of humour, adventure, and traditional storytelling, Return of the Jungle celebrates themes of courage, friendship, and determination. The public, students, educators, and families are warmly encouraged to attend,” the statement added.
