The Indian Express and The Times of India report October 27 as the document-verification deadline for this first list. Candidates must report to the designated Divisional Office. Check your own PDF and official communication for the address and instructions before arranging travel. (AI generated representative image)

The official notification requires original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies. These include the marksheet, identity and date-of-birth proof, plus applicable caste, EWS, disability or transgender certificates. Online shortlisting does not replace physical verification of the original documents. (AI generated representative image)

A medical certificate is also required under the notification. It must come from a medical officer at a government hospital, dispensary, primary health centre or similar government facility. Candidates covered by special local-language provisions must also bring the prescribed language certificate where applicable. (AI generated representative image)

After successful physical verification, the notification provides for an offer of provisional engagement. Candidates then have 30 days to complete the prescribed pre-engagement formalities, including basic training and accommodation arrangements where applicable. Read the offer carefully because missing those requirements can cancel candidature. (AI generated representative image)

India Post warns that candidates should monitor the portal even if an SMS or email fails to arrive. Its security notice identifies official email domains ending in @indiapost.gov.in or @indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Verify suspicious appointment messages directly with the department before sending money or personal documents. (AI generated representative image)
