An exciting midfielder has confirmed he is ready to join Liverpool.
The Reds are desperate to get back to the very top of domestic and European football. There was a time when the Reds were the team everyone feared under Jurgen Klopp, capable of going toe-to-toe with anyone and winning the biggest prizes in the game.
But those days feel like a distant memory now. The foundations of that legendary side are slowly disappearing, and the next 12 months could mark the end of an era at Anfield.
Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Alisson Becker are all approaching the final months of their current contracts. These are players who have been central to Liverpool's success over the years, but there are genuine questions about how much longer they will remain at the club.
Liverpool's exciting plans for the future
The Reds cannot afford to stand still. If they want to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League again, they need to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level for years to come.
That's where Andoni Iraola and Julian Ward come in.
The pair are tasked with shaping Liverpool's next great team, bringing together a new generation of talent with a clear tactical identity and a recruitment strategy that makes sense for the long term.
Iraola will be expected to establish an intense, aggressive style of football that gets supporters excited again, while Ward must ensure the squad has the right balance of quality, experience and potential.
It's an enormous challenge, particularly with so many key figures potentially heading towards the exit. But Liverpool have an opportunity to get this rebuild right.
The Klopp era may be over, but that doesn't mean the Reds cannot reach those heights again. The real test is whether Iraola and Ward can turn that ambition into reality and make Liverpool a dominant force once more.
Lamine Camara confirms he's ready to join Liverpool with stunning performance
One of the biggest components of Liverpool's rebuild will be to bring in a midfielder. Liverpool simply need a dominant defensive-minded midfielder who can solidify the middle of the park and make Iraola's side less vulnerable to counterattacks.
And the Reds should be looking no further than Lamine Camara.
The Senegalese midfielder who was previously named African Young Player of the Year has been heavily linked with the Reds.
Coming up against Freiburg on Thursday evening he confirmed just why the Reds want him and why he is absolutely ready to join Liverpool.
Camara was voted as the Man of the Match in the game. He scored a wonderful goal arriving into the box and also won the most duels (9) and was the most fouled player (5) on the pitch while completing 55/65 passes and making nine passes into the final third.
It was the perfect performance that showed he is ready for that move to Anfield. Julian Ward just needs to make it happen.
