Yemeni Gov’t Forces Report Territorial Gains in Marib as Fighting Escalates Across Multiple Fronts

MARIB– Yemeni government forces announced new battlefield advances in Marib Governorate as part of the ongoing “Dawn of Yemen” military operation, while intense clashes continued on several fronts in Taiz amid reports of Houthi shelling that caused civilian casualties.
A military source said government troops captured strategic high ground and key positions around the Mas military camp in the Madghal district northwest of Marib following a series of coordinated attacks targeting Houthi fortifications.
On the southern front, forces operating under the Saba and Bayhan military axes announced that they had taken control of the Al-Muqaylat position and Jabal Zajar north of Harib district after fierce confrontations.
The forces said the clashes forced Houthi fighters to withdraw, resulting in what they described as significant human and material losses for the group.
The developments coincided with continued fighting along front lines north and south of Marib, where government forces employed warplanes, drones, artillery, and rocket launchers to target Houthi positions and military reinforcements.
According to the Yemeni Armed Forces Media Center, drone strikes carried out within the operational zone of the Third Military Region successfully targeted Houthi military encampments and vehicles.
The center released footage that it said documented the destruction of several military vehicles and combat assets belonging to the group.
