Colombo, Oct. 20 (Daily Mirror) - Tusker Kawantissa died of gunshot injuries, Minister of Environment Dhammika Patabendi told Parliament today.
He said the animal had initially recovered but fell ill again before its death.
The Minister said advice had been sought from foreign veterinary experts in Thailand and India.
He added that investigations were continuing to determine whether there had been a conspiracy to kill the animal.
