A flight from London Gatwick to Portugal declared a mid-air emergency after unconfirmed reports of a cracked window.
British Airways flight BA2660 from the UK’s second busiest airport to Faro, the Algarve, was disrupted today after an incident.
AirNav Radar, which tracks aircraft, raised the alarm this morning, saying the plane operated by BA EuroFlyer had declared an emergency and was about to divert.
Tracking websites show the Airbus A321-231 appeared to make a U-turn shortly after passing Bretagne.
It took off from Gatwick at about 9am and headed to Portugal before pilots issued the general emergency around an hour into the journey.
