The driver of a BYD Seal involved in a crash that killed a 5-year-old girl along Jalan Kuching has pleaded not guilty to three traffic offences at the Kuala Lumpur Magistrates' Court yesterday, 15 October
According to the New Straits Times, Raeven Goh Wey Haur, 24, was charged with causing the death of Asiah Ahmad Syahir by reckless driving, driving in a manner that endangered other road users, and failing to stop and report an accident.
The offences allegedly took place along Jalan Kuching, on the stretch heading from the city towards Segambut, at 3.44pm on 10 October.
Goh entered his plea after the charges were read out before Magistrate Aliaa Anwar.

The three charges fall under the Road Transport Act 1987
Section 41(1), which covers causing death by reckless driving, carries a prison sentence of between five and 10 years, a fine of between RM20,000 and RM50,000, and a driving disqualification of at least five years upon conviction.
Section 42(1), which covers reckless and dangerous driving, carries a prison sentence of up to five years, a fine of between RM5,000 and RM15,000, and disqualification from holding or obtaining a driving licence for at least five years upon conviction.
The third charge, under Section 52(1) for failing to stop and report an accident, carries a fine of up to RM2,000, imprisonment of up to six months, or both, for a first conviction.
The court set bail at RM36,000 across all three charges
Magistrate Aliaa Anwar also ordered Goh to surrender his passport and suspended his driving licence pending the disposal of the case.
The case was fixed for mention and submission of documents on 19 November.
NST later reported that Goh was released on bail on the same day after his father paid the RM36,000 bail amount.
