Every bank that wants to touch a tokenized asset runs into the same chore. It has to figure out what backs the asset, who holds it, and whether anyone sanctioned is lurking nearby.
Then the next bank does the exact same homework. LogosFi, Inc., operating as Logos, thinks that is a problem worth building a company around, and it made its official debut at Money20/20 USA on October 19, 2026 to say so.
The startup unveiled what it calls an evidence layer. It is designed to help financial institutions evaluate tokenized assets and stablecoins against their own internal policies, without starting from scratch every time a new asset or counterparty shows up.
What Logos actually launched
Technically, Logos describes its product as shared infrastructure that is machine-readable and cryptographically signed. The evidence covers four core areas: reserves, redemption rights, custody status, and sanctions compliance.
The evidence is delivered through an API. Issuers submit claims about their assets, and institutions can then query those claims against their own internal rules.
Logos is not positioning itself as the decision-maker. Institutions keep control over their policies, while the reusable evidence framework is meant to cut down on the repetitive legwork.
Alongside the debut, Logos launched a testnet on the same day. Its first design partners are Paysend and Securitize, and the company says there is room for up to 10 additional partnerships.
Production workflows are not live yet. Logos aims to roll those out by early 2027, so for now, this is a testing phase rather than a finished product handling real institutional flows.
The people and money behind it
CEO Tom Zschach previously served as Chief Innovation Officer at Swift, the messaging network that underpins much of global banking.
CTO Anthony Rose was formerly CTO of Matter Labs, the company behind ZKsync.
On the investor side, Logos is backed by ParaFi and VanEck.
Logos is also working with blockchain and infrastructure providers to shape what evidence standards should look like. The company says it is in discussions with multiple blockchain entities on that front.
Why the paperwork problem exists
The friction Logos is targeting is redundancy. Under current processes, institutions often end up collecting near-identical evidence for different entities, over and over.
Securitize, one of the two launch partners, works on the issuance side of tokenized securities. Paysend operates in payments. Having both on board gives Logos a view from the asset creation end and the money movement end of the pipeline.
What this means for institutions and issuers
There are open questions worth watching. The first is adoption: an evidence layer is only as useful as the number of issuers feeding it and the number of institutions trusting it, and two design partners on testnet is an early starting point.
The second is standards. Logos is helping shape evidence standards alongside blockchain and infrastructure partners, but shared standards only stick when competitors agree to use them.
The third is timing. The company is targeting early 2027 for production workflows, and testnet results over the coming months should show whether the system holds up under the scrutiny of actual risk teams.
