Welcome back to Beauty Marks: Vogue’s weekly edition of the best moments in celebrity beauty, from Vogue editors’ IG feeds, and all the glam of the fashion and pop culture landscapes. As always, it’s as much about celebrity beauty as it is about the makeup artists, hairstylists, and nail artists, as well as the creators crafting the trends you’re about to see everywhere.
Beauty has been looking both backward and forward this week. There’s a distinctly ’90s sensibility at play, from Hari Nef’s slinky, slicked-down lengths and Ashley Benson’s face-framing brunette hair to the return of the bob in all its guises: flippy, wavy, and perfectly imperfect. Cool-toned makeup is having a moment, too, with softly defined eyes and muted lips lending a certain undone sophistication. Elsewhere, things took a more fantastical turn. Adela embraced star-spangled sparkle, Lisa went all-in on celestial shimmer, and Jenna Ortega continued her reign as the queen of contemporary goth glamour, this time with a smattering of freckles. And proving that great beauty knows no age, Olivia Colman made a glorious case for embracing the gray. This week’s best beauty looks were a little nostalgic and very playful.
