The Sindh government has decided to digitise the retirement records of government employees across all departments.
Under the decision, employees will be paid their gratuity and GP Fund on the day of their retirement. The College Education Department has issued an order for implementation.
The letter was issued after approval from College Education Secretary Nadeem-ur-Rehman Memon and signed by Section Officer General Administration Ghulam Mustafa.
The letter directs that employees’ records be provided and dispatched six months before retirement so that gratuity and GP Fund can be paid on time. It also states that matters relating to the payment of gratuity and GP Fund should be resolved on time.
The letter makes clear that any delay in the payment of gratuity and GP Fund to retiring employees will not be acceptable.
