Former ZP chairperson’s daughter files nominations for two ZPTCs in A.P.’s Vizianagaram district

Former Zilla Parishad Chairperson Majji Srinivasa Rao’s daughter Siri Sahasra filed nominations in two Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs): Kothavalasa and Terlam, in Vizianagaram district on Friday (October 23, 2026).

Mr. Srinivasa Rao, who recently joined the TDP, had reportedly tried for the mayor’s seat of Vizianagaram for his daughter, but it was not granted due to various reasons.

Bobbili MLA Baby Nayana and S. Kota legislator Kolla Lalitakumari accompanied him and his daughter to file the nominations for both seats at the Zilla Parishad office of Vizianagaram. According to sources, she is likely to withdraw her nomination from one seat after taking suggestions from senior leaders.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao, who won the Merakamudiam ZPTC seat unanimously in 2019, is hopeful that Ms. Sahasra will be elected unanimously either from Terlam or Kothavalasa.
