Edge rusher T.J. Watt appeared on the Steelers’ latest injury report with a calf injury that limited his participation, the team announced Thursday.
Watt previously had not participated in Wednesday’s practice with a rest designation. The calf injury is new.
Other limited participants for the Steelers on Thursday included cornerback Jalen Ramsey (wrist — improved from a DNP Wednesday), outside linebacker Alex Highsmith (groin) and running back Rico Dowdle (knee).
Despite one more injury report due Friday, the Steelers have already ruled out cornerback Brandin Echols (DNP, hamstring) and wide receiver Ben Skowronek (DNP, calf) for Sunday’s game against the Saints. No other players have game designations yet.
Veteran defensive lineman Cam Heyward did not participate in a second straight practice with a rest designation, the team reported.

Steelers safety DeShon Elliott also logged his second straight full practice as he hopes to return to the team’s 53-man roster from injured reserve.
As for Pittsburgh’s Week 7 opponent, the Saints, kicker Daniel Carlson (personal), guard Cesar Ruiz (knee) and defensive lineman Davon Godchaux (rest) did not participate Thursday. Linebacker Anfernee Jennings (knee), running back Alvin Kamara (back) and linebacker Kaden Elliss (calf) were limited.
Cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry, quarterbacks Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough, running back C.J. Donaldson and defensive tackle Nathan Shepherd were full participants.
