The Chargers remain winless through five weeks of the NFL season.
And running back J.K. Dobbins rubbed it in his former team’s face as the Broncos took a 23-17 victory over LA.
“Damn… guess I was CHARGED UP today 🫣⚡️,” Dobbins wrote in a post on X.
Dobbins played for the Chargers in 2024 on a $1.61 million “prove it” contract. He nearly reached 1,000 rushing yards as the Chargers’ primary running back that season, finishing the year with 905 yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games.

Dobbins’ performance with the Chargers earned him a two-year, $16 million contract with the Broncos. The veteran played in only 10 games for Denver last season, tallying 772 yards and four touchdowns.
On Sunday, Dobbins rushed for 68 yards and a score against the Chargers. Evidently, the running back felt compelled to throw shade at his former team as the Chargers now own an 0-5 record.
It’s been a disappointing season for the Chargers, especially because there were high expectations for the third season of the Jim Harbaugh era. The team hired offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, which everyone believed would elevated quarterback Justin Herbert.
Instead, the Chargers looked discombobulated in every facet of the game and don’t look anywhere close to find a solution for their endless woes.
